Small businesses baffled by or needing to get to grips with taxation are invited to the next meeting being organised by the New Forest branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). The guest speaker is Peter Lashmar, of Lashmars Accountants in Lymington and the event will take place at The Crown Hotel, High Street, Lyndhurst, on Tuesday 5th May starting at 6.30pm. Chairman of the New Forest Branch, Rob Dewing, said: “A lot of small businesses are baffled by what they are allowed to offset against tax and this presentation will help those attending understand what is allowed, and this situation will no doubt change again as a result of the budget. “Peter is an experienced tax accountant and FSB member with a detailed knowledge of this important area. He will also be happy to take any general accountancy questions which members may have. We are delighted to welcome him to one of our quarterly speaker meetings which combine a talk on a topical subject and an opportunity for networking. We are pleased that the meetings are going well and welcome any small business owners to come along.” The cost of attending is £9.50 to include a full buffet and the meeting is open to FSB
