Young people in Christchurch looking for things to do during the Easter holidays should find something interesting in the Play Ranger sessions run free of charge by Christchurch Council. Activities range from den building to team games as well as many sessions on the popular NEOS machine. Egg drop sessions allow children to come up with innovative ways of catching eggs dropped from a height without breaking them. A special Easter egg hunt takes place on Easter Monday at Mudeford Recreation Ground. The activities will suit children of all ages, but children aged eight and under must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are as follows: All morning sessions are from 11am to 12 noon, all afternoon sessions from 1pm to 2pm (apart from the Easter egg hunt on Monday 12 April).
