Highcliffe triumph at Dorset School's Gymnastics Tumbling |

The Dorset Schools’ Team Tumbling Championships were held on Sunday 23rd November at Rossmore Leisure Centre in Parkstone. There were over 100 teams from schools across the county taking part, from Years 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, plus Years 9 and above. Highcliffe School in Christchurch continued their success from last year, winning the Years 7 & 8 section, and the years 9 and above achieving a well deserved second place. Both teams competed in the “mixed” teams section (At least one boy or one girl in the team) and competed against very stiff competition. The team members for 7 & 8 were Abby Sirmulis, Chloe Hughes, Hamish Lazenby, Rebecca Arnold and Nina Rijska. The team members for Years 9+ mixed team were Heidi Barnett, Holly-Beth Hassall, Jessica Rijska, Sofia Constantinou and Steven Dow. All competitors received a certificate and a medal, with the winning teams receiving a trophy for their school to keep. |
